Two customs branches in charge of carrying out procedures for express delivery goods under Ha Noi Customs Department are the Express Delivery Customs Branch and Gia Thuy Customs Branch. These two branches are managing six gathering places and are responsible for concentrated inspection and supervision.

There are 23 express delivery service enterprises are operating in the area under management of the two customs branches.

Ha Noi customs department said in recent years, especially in the first six months of 2021, together with the development of goods via air and e-commerce, goods in e-commerce transactions using express delivery service has surged, mainly low-value import goods.

In the first half of the year, the number of customs declaration for this type of goods was 35 million forms, six time higher than the same period of 2020.

To ensure customs inspection and supervision and fight against smuggling and trade fraud and prevent enterprises from abusing tax policies but facilitate enterprises, Hanoi Customs Department proposed the General Department of Customs solutions to amend and supplement regulations and to issue procedures and upgrade customs operation systems as well as equip them with technical facilities.
