Hoa Lac Customs reminds businesses to avoid “mistakes” when completing procedures

Sharing at the conference, Manager of Hoa Lac Customs Branch Vu Xuan Ke said, Hoa Lac Customs Department has been actively working alongside the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park management to create a more favorable business environment for enterprises operating within the zone. Leveraging its strategic location and modern facilities, the Customs Department has been able to provide efficient customs procedure, inspection and supervision, meeting the demands of businesses and investors in both the high-tech park and the surrounding areas.
The Customs Department has been actively engaging with the High-Tech Park management, customs brokers, and businesses, particularly new entrants, to provide guidance on customs procedures and address any arising issues. The department encourages active cooperation and knowledge sharing among all stakeholders.
Tran Dac Trung, Deputy Director of the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park Authority, highlighted the park's advanced infrastructure and attractive investment policies, which have attracted leading domestic and international technology corporations.
In June, the 15th National Assembly passed the revised Capital Law. Regarding the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park, in addition to the highest preferential investment incentives and support policies as prescribed, the Law also stipulates priority investment in a system of technical infrastructure; high-tech technical infrastructure and infrastructure serving the development of science and technology in the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park; compensation, support, and resettlement; and the construction of housing in accordance with the planning to arrange for workers working in the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park to rent during their working time."

"The High-Tech Park Authority will serve as a bridge to connect businesses with the various investment incentives available," emphasized Mr. Trung. He added that the Customs Department is playing a crucial role in facilitating smooth customs procedures and resolving any challenges faced by businesses.
A key focus of the conference was the customs policies applicable to processing and export activities, given the significant contribution of these enterprises to the total import-export value at Hoa Lac Customs. It is known that 91 enterprises operating in this type of group alone account for 29.35% of the total number of enterprises engaging in import-export activities at the branch.

Accordingly, enterprises need to pay attention to issues related to the declaration of the number of processing contracts received and contract annexes. Many enterprises, due to a lack of understanding of the regulations, only declare the number of processing contracts received but do not declare the contract annexes, thus not meeting the conditions for tax exemption.
In addition, the department also notes to enterprises the issue of submitting a document designating the delivery of goods in Vietnam when carrying out on-site export procedures for on-site export-processing products and on-site production-export products; customs procedures for goods on the tax exemption list, cases where tax exemption lists are granted...
