Among those violation cases there were 70 cases of smuggling and illegal transportation of goods across borders; 26 cases of narcotics, precursors, pharmaceutical drugs (13.106 kg of heroin and cocaine; 2,580 tablets and 4,941 kg of synthetic drugs; 2,864.5 kg dry leaves contain irritating substances); 12 cases of weapons smuggling and support tools; 102 case of commercial fraud; the rest are mainly in violation of Customs procedures and other violations.
Analysis of the HCM City Customs Department showed that the most common tricks now are enterprises taking advantage of flow distribution to fraud. Currently, Green channel and Yellow channel declarations are released quickly which has an element of risk.
Customs detected 353 violations by air |
On the other hand, there were many cases that related to false goods in non-commercial form with false declaration of actual quantity, false declaration of origin for fraud on prics, and avoid presenting of license.
For other types of used goods imported from America, Japan, Taiwan, enterprises misstated the name of goods usually imported including banned goods, such as automobiles spare parts, truck engines, air conditioniners, refrigerators, cosmetics ... For major consumer goods, there are often suspicious goods transported among ports.
