HCMC Customs Department: Revenue reaches more than VND 60,000 billion

According to Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, as of August 15, the department’s revenue hit VND60,960 billion, reaching 53% of the estimate of VND115,000 billion, a year-on year decrease of 16.8%, reaching VND73,298 billion and 67.4% of the estimate.
As of August 15, the total import and export turnover of goods via Cat Lai Port was VND69,533.77 million, a year-on-year decrease of 2.2%.
Of which, the export turnover was US$33,884.92 million, increasing by 1.44% compared to 2019. Major high-turnover commodity groups include export rice reaching 1,645,047 tons, with a value of US$1,688.32 million, up 6.8% in value over the same period in 2019.
By the end of August, HCMC Customs Department is expected to collect VND64,300 billion to VND64,600 billion, reaching 56.2% of the estimate and decreasing by 17.4% compared to 2019
To complete the 2020 budget revenue target of VND115,000 billion, HCMC Customs Department is continuing to implement many solutions to facilitate trade and raise budget revenues.
