HCM City Customs records US$95 billion in trade

From the beginning of the year to August 28, the trade in goods at HCM City Customs Department saw a year-on-year increase by 13.2% to US$ 94.85 billion. The value of imports and export rose by 15.19% and 11.23% to US$ 43.61 billion and US$ 51.24 billion, respectively.
The department has implemented the plan on Customs Modernization and Reform, aiming at reforming working methods and shortening customs clearance time and facilitating people and businesses, thereby enhancing Customs management.
In addition, the city has provided solutions for revenue collection. As of August 31, the department’s revenue rose by 16.2% year-on-year to VND93,321 billion, meeting 80.1% of the estimate and 78.1% of the ambitious target.
