HCM City Customs Department’s revenue plunges

VCN – The tax revenue of HCM City Customs Department in August fell to VND7,000 billion (more than US$305,000), the department reported.

HCM City Customs Department’s revenue plunges

Customs officers of 1st Sai Gon Seaport Customs Branch carry out procedures for businesses.

According to the local customs department, it has collected VND7,063 billion in August, a decrease of more than US$900 billion compared with the period year and some VND2,800 billion from a month ago.

The decrease in imports of major goods with a high tax rate has had a great impact on the department’s revenue.

As of August 15, the department’s revenue saw a year-on-year rise to 24.1% to VND75,069 billion.

In the final months of the year, the department will continue to provide solutions for revenue collection and support firms to boost import and export across HCM City-based seaports.
