HCM City Customs Department stops carrying out procedures for tax debtors

On July 22, the Investment Management Customs Branch under the HCM City Customs Department issued a decision to stop customs procedures for imported and exported goods of Tam Sinh Nghia Development and Investment Joint Stock Company located in Binh Tan District, HCM City.
The HCM City Tax Department slapped a VND12.2 billion fine on the company for failing to comply with a decision on administrative sanction.
On the same day, the branch issued three decisions suspending customs procedures for goods imported and exported by three companies, namely Kic Vietnam Co., Ltd., Manufacture Service Science and Technology Corporation, and Cu Chi Biochemical Fertilizer Joint Stock Company.
The branch fined those more than VND12.2 billion, more than VND320 million and over VND1.4 billion, respectively.
These coercive decisions are valid for one year from July 29, 2021 and will be invalid when the companies pay all their tax debts to the State budget.
Deputy Head of the Investment Management Customs Branch, Ms. Doan Phi Van said the HCM City Tax Department requested the branch work with it in processing procedures for these companies..
