Hai Phong Customs processed over 18,500 dossiers via online public service

According to Customs IT and Statistics Department (under the General Department of Vietnam Customs), since the official deployment of the system (on 1stst March 2017) to 24thth December , the entire Customs sector received 70,871 dossiers (excluding dossiers declared on VNACCS/VCIS), of which 63,595 dossiers were processed and issued results for businesses by the Customs.

Out of 35 local Customs Departments, Hai Phong Customs Department is the unit which received and processed the largest number of dossiers with the consecutive results of 20,617 dossiers received and processed and 18,504 dossiers issued results.

The departments where received and processed the large number of dossiers via online public service such as: Binh Duong Customs Department received 8,765 dossiers, processed and issued results for 8,427 dossiers; Long An Customs Department received 5,050 dossiers, processed and issued results for 4,768 dossiers; Dong Nai Customs Department received 5,006 dossiers, processed and issued results for 4,758 dossiers.

Notably, Dien Bien Customs Department is the only Department out of 35 Customs Departments where processed and issued results were 100% of received dossiers (50 dossiers).

Hai Phong Customs collected VND 360 billion from post clearance audit VCN- Currently, Hai Phong Customs has achieved the year’s target of revenue from post clearance audit.

However, some units had a low number of dossiers that were processed and issued results compared to the total number of received dossiers, such as Lao Cai Customs Department reached 53.23%; Ba Ria –Vung tau reached 60.03%, and Ho Chi Minh City reached 66.16%.

On 27th December 2017, talking with a Customs Newspaper reporter, the head of Customs Portal Management Division (under Customs IT and Statistics Department of the GDVC) Dang Nam Phong that currently many dossiers have been submitted and processed via the system related to Customs declaration cancellation, additional declaration of Customs dossier and tax exemption dossiers.
