Hai Phong Customs: Import-export turnover reaches nearly $9 billion in September

Accordingly, exports reached $4.58 billion, increasing 13.7%, only taxable turnover achieved $29.59 million, up 58.6%.
Meanwhile, imports reached over $4.33 billion, rising 6.2%, only taxable turnover reached $1.53 billion, an increase of 4.4%.
The taxable turnover of some items such as automobile spare parts and accessories reached $50.54 million, increasing by 111.9%; motorcycles reached $1.13 million, rising by 1,146.4%; spare parts for motorcycles reached $1.57 million, up 10.7%; petroleum reached $57.83 million, up 35.2%; iron and steel reached $171.12 million, up 24.5%; cosmetics reached $0.38 million, up 55.4%.
However, a number of major items that contributed a large amount of tax experienced drops in turnover such as: automobiles reached $63.43 million, down 36.5%; beer and wine reached $1.3 million, down 54.3%; machinery and equipment reached $289.86 million, down 17.7%.
By the end of September, Hai Phong Customs Department collected VND48,505 billion, reaching 86.6% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance, reaching 83.8% of the target assigned by the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
Particularly, Hai Phong area collected VND42,088 billion, reaching 85% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance, reaching 82.9% of the target assigned by the General Department of Vietnam Customs and reaching 79.4% of the target assigned by Hai Phong People's Committee.
