Hai Phong Customs: Declarations and turnover both decreased in the first quarter

In the first quarter, Hai Phong Customs Department completed procedures for 388,554 import and export declarations (decreasing 3.9% over the same period in 2022) of 16,155 enterprises.
At the same time, supervised 1,899 turns of vehicles and 36,118 turns of crew members entering and exiting through Hai Phong Port; 191 arrivals and departures of aircraft with 31,373 passengers entering and leaving at Cat Bi international airport.
Regarding import and export turnover, updated from the beginning of the year to March 15, import and export turnover reached US$20.3 billion (declining 6.5% compared to the same period in 2022), especially taxable import and export turnover reached more than US$4 billion, reducing 10% compared to the same period in 2022. In particular, export turnover reached US$10 billion, declining 3.5% over the same period in 2022, and export turnover with tax reached US$94.7 million, rising 8.8%.
Import turnover reached US$10.3 billion, reducing 9.4% over the same period in 2022, and import turnover with tax reached US$3.937 billion, decreasing 11.1%.
