On March 10, at Hai Phong Customs Department’s headquarters, the two departments had a working session to exchange and learn experiences in IT application and the use of equipment in customs management.
This is an activity within the framework of the Regulation on coordination signed on December 3, 2019 between Hai Phong Customs Department and Quang Ninh Customs Department, and the contents agreed upon at the one-year preliminary conference on the implementation of the Regulation on coordination held in Quang Ninh on November 12, 2022.
In the areas under the management of Hai Phong Customs Department and Quang Ninh Customs Department, there are large national seaport areas capable of receiving high-capacity vessels. The loading, unloading, forwarding, and transshipment of goods by means of transport often are connected between Quang Ninh and Hai Phong seaports.
The implementation of the Regulation on coordination between the two departments has brought practical effects, ensuring customs control and facilitation of the development of import and export activities at seaports and land border gate areas.
At the working session, the two departments discussed and exchanged the contents such as experience in operation, management, and use of container scanners at Hai Phong port; experience in customs management in industrial parks and application of management software for export processing and production, and the application of IT solutions in customs control at Hai Phong Customs Department.
The working team of Quang Ninh Customs Department conducted a survey at Hai Phong port and Hai Duong Customs Branch.
