Ha Tinh Customs: Dialogues on Tax and Customs policies with 250 enterprises

At the conference, Nguyen Hong Linh, Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Customs Department, said Ha Tinh implemented synchronous solutions, especially facilitating import-export enterprises within Customs legal framework to prevent smuggling and trade fraud. In the past four months, 3,469 declarations of 247 enterprises carried out Customs procedures in Ha Tinh province with turnover of US$1,162 million, up 12.7% in the number of declarations and 40.1% in turnover. Thereby, Ha Tinh collected and contributed 2,335 billion VND to the State budget, up 33% compared to 2018. From April 1, all taxes and fees are paid online.

Representatives of enterprises have shared shortcomings fortax payers and Customs declarantssuch as: tax declaration, tax calculation according to new regulations, policies on Corporate Income Tax and VAT, procedures for granting tax codes; online tax declaration procedures; policies related to tax refund.

Enterprises also consulted Tax and Customs authorities toreform administrative procedures and pay taxes by e-method via banks and the service attitudes of officers.

PhanXuan Hong, Chairman of KyAnh Township Business Association said Ha Tinh Customs and Tax Departments have promoted the reform of administrative procedures, modernisation of the state management, thereby contributing to improving the business and investment environment and facilitating enterprises.

According to Linh, in the coming time, Ha Tinh Customs will implement synchronous solutions, especially facilitating import-export activities. It will focus on promoting administrative reform, Customs modernisation; enhance the application of information technology, professional software in Customs management; operate the automated of Customs clearance system, online public service, implement collect taxes and fees via commercial banks and the system 24/7; participated in deploying National Single Window, ASEAN Single Window mechanisms.

It will also regularly disseminate customs documents and other relevant regulations for officers and the business community; review and propose to amend and supplement Customs regulations and other relevant regulations to be consistent with reality.

Ha Tinh Customs will develop Customs-Business partnerships, accompany with enterprises in implementing customs laws; regularly organize dialogues and between Customs and enterprises to propagate, disseminate and publicise customs law and promptly solve problems arising during the implementation.

At the conference, Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Customs Department Truong Quang Long said that in the first quarter, total domestic revenue of Ha Tinh province reached 1,321 billion VND, up 23% compared to 2018. Currently, 100% of Ha Tinh enterprises implement online declaration, and the rate of e-tax payment is 91%.
