Ha Noi Customs’ revenue drops 7% in the third quarter

Ha Noi Customs Department has implemented many solutions to remove difficulties for businesses such as establishing working teams to monitor impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic and handle problems related to customs procedures to prevent suspension in working.
The department has worked with enterprises in the city to grasp imports and exports; worked with the Ha Noi Department of Industry and Trade, the Ha Noi Department of Planning and Investment, Management Board of Industrial Parks and Export Processing Zones, Hanoi Tax Department to make plans to respond to and support businesses amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ha Noi Customs Department has developed plans at the department and branch levels to assist businesses affected by the pandemic.
According to the department’s report, the department earned VND6,836 billion of VND23,000 billion in tax revenues. The revenue in the third quarter decreased by 93% compared with the previous quarter, however it increased by 123% year-on-year.
In Ha Noi area alone, the department collected VND5,525 billion of VND18,600 billion.
In the third quarter, Ha Noi Customs Department has conducted advance rulings for 1,384 declarations, accepted 1,300 declarations after rulings and rejected the taxable value and accepted additional declaration for 84 declarations, and collected tax arrears of VND18.69 billion.
