Regarding the anti-smuggling plan before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2020, the Director General directed the Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department to further improve relevant contents. In particular, the fight and prevention against not only traditional and high-risk products such as alcohol, beer and cigarettes but also needs to be expanded, especially focusing on goods at high risk of fraud and violations which are being drastically directed by the Government and the 389 National Steering Committee in the current period.

At the same time, it is necessary to closely combine the plan of the Customs sector with the plans of the Standing Office of the 389 National Steering Committee.

At the Conference, Nguyen Van Can suggested the relevant ministries and agencies continue to coordinate effectively with the Customs sector in performing the task of preventing and combating smuggling, trade fraud and illegal cross-border transportation of goods, including peak periods before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2020.
