That is the guidance the General Department of Vietnam Customs recently sent to provincial customs departments relating to bill of lading number declarations.
Specifically, when implementing Official Letter No. 7380/TCHQ-GSQL dated November 19, 2020 of the General Department of Vietnam Customs on the notification of bill of lading number, some units have reflected the system of automated customs supervision has not timely met requirements as stated in official dispatch No. 7380/TCHQ-GSQL, leading to causing difficulties for enterprises in the implementation of customs procedures.
Therefore, to promptly solve problems for units and avoid cargo congestion in border areas, the General Department of Vietnam Customs announced to delay the implementation of the content of official dispatch No. 7380/TCHQ-GSQL dated November 19, 2020 until the automated customs supervision system is completed.
The Customs Information Technology and Statistics Department urgently completes the automated customs supervision system at seaports and airports to meet the provisions of Circular 39/2016/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018 of the Ministry of Finance so customs declarants can make declarations in accordance with the law. The completion of the system will be done before December 31, 2020.
