GDVC removes difficulties caused by Covid-19 pandemic to ensure materials for production

As reported by the Bac Ninh Customs Department, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces, the customs clearance of goods for businesses in the two provinces faced many difficulties.
In order to solve difficulties for businesses to ensure the source of raw materials for production and business, as well as to avoid disruption of the supply chain of goods, the General Department of Customs requested the Customs Departments of provinces, cities and subordinate units together with Bac Ninh Customs Department to carry out many solutions.
Specifically, Bac Ninh Customs Department directed its affiliated customs branches to guide customs declarants to declare and submit customs dossiers to the Customs authority through the electronic data processing system.
For other procedures performed on the online public service system. Cadres and civil servants check customs documents on the customs electronic data processing system and settle procedures on the online public service system, without direct contact with customs declarants.
During the period of concentrated isolation, the Bac Giang Industrial Park Customs Branch requested the customs branches where the goods are stored or the customs branches at the export checkpoint to work together to conduct physical inspections.
Bac Giang Industrial Park Customs Branch uses the inspection results received from the system to carry out the following procedures as prescribed.
The GDVC also assigned the customs departments of provinces and cities to direct the customs branches where the goods are stored and the customs branches at the export checkpoint to work tin carrying together to carry out physical inspection of goods at the request by the Bac Giang Industrial Park Customs Branch;
At the same time, to take the initiative in carrying out measures to support and help businesses in customs procedures in the two provinces of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh quickly and legally.
Units under the GDVC and the Customs Departments of provinces and cities have arranged professional teams and groups to monitor the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic to promptly summarize, report, and handle difficulties and obstacles, problems of organizations, individuals and units in the handling of customs procedures according to their competence.
For problems beyond their competence, the customs agencies shall report them to the GDVC for consideration and guidance.
On May 24, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province made a decision to establish a medical isolation area at Bac Giang Industrial Park Customs Branch (addressed at Lot D10, Dinh Tram Industrial Park, Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province).
Time for medical isolation starts from 0:00 on May 22, 2021 until new notice.
Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee also assigned Chairman of the People's Committee of Viet Yen District, Head of Bac Giang Industrial Park Customs Branch to implement medical isolation activities.
The Director of the Department of Health is assigned to guide the establishment and operation of the medical isolation areas in accordance with regulations.
