Establish an interagency working group to measure the Cross-Border Trade Transaction Index

Deputy Director General of Vietnam Customs Hoang Viet Cuong is the head of the interagency working group and members of the working group are a number of departments under the General Department of Vietnam Customs, representatives of units under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Transport, the Goverment office, the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, and the Association of Logistics Service Enterprises, Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association.
The task of the working group is to conduct surveys on the Cross-Border Trade Transaction Index, including the preparation; conducting surveys and assessments; synthesise, report results and publish survey results.
The working group will develop a survey plan and deploy approved plans; send survey forms to businesses, instruct and urge businesses to answer the questionnaires; conduct surveys and interview enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong; and summarise survey data.
Survey results will be submitted to the Prime Minister for approval, then published and reported to the World Bank.
The working group will measure the time and cost of implementing cross-border trade procedures in Vietnam in accordance with the World Bank's criteria and methods in the Doing Business Report.
