The drafting team consisted of 29 members, headed by the Deputy Director General of Vietnam Customs, Mr. Nguyen Cong Binh, and members from relevant ministries and agencies such as Finance; Police; Agriculture and Rural Development; Transportation and Health.

From 1st January 2017, the Hanoi Customs Department began the pilot receipt of electronic information about goods from Vietnam Airlines, through the National Single Window. From 14th February, the Customs office started to receive all information about flight schedule from Noi Bai international airport through the National Single Window.

According to recent information from the Hanoi Customs Department, in the first phase of pilot deployment of National Single Window's IT system by air, cargo information has been automatically sent by Vietnam Airlines to the Portal of the National Single Window System via e-mail. The Customs office has received a list of flight schedules and flight information (sent by port enterprises).

Along with the implementation and remediation of issues arising last time, the Hanoi Customs Department has continued to expand the pilot National Single Window at Noi Bai International Airport.

Regarding results of the implementation of National Single Window, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs - the National Steering Committee for the ASEAN Single Window, the National Single Window and trade facilitation, by the end of March 2017, there had been 11 Ministries and sectors involved; 37 administrative procedures to be submitted to the National Single Window with more than 290,000 records and more than 10,000 enterprises.
