Effective coordination between Border Guards and Customs of BR-VT and Dong Nai

VCN - On the afternoon of September 18, the Border Guard Command of Ba Ria - Vung Tau (BR-VT) province held a conference to review 5 years (2019-2024) of implementing the coordination plan between the Provincial Border Guard Command, BR-VT Customs Department and Dong Nai Customs Department.

Effective coordination between Border Guards and Customs of BR-VT and Dong Nai
Leaders of the three units signed a report summarizing 5 years of implementing the plan for coordination of activities between the Provincial Border Guard Command, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Customs Department and Dong Nai Customs Department.

The Border Guard of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province coordinates with BR-VT Customs Department and Dong Nai Customs Department to manage the specialized state at 61 ports in 2 seaports of BR-VT province and Dong Nai province, 10 offshore oil and gas ports, 8 anchoring positions and carry out procedures for buoys BP1, BP2, BP3. The management area stretches from Vung Tau city to Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai with a length of about 100km.

In the past 5 years (2019-2024), the social order and safety situation still has many potential risks such as smuggling of gasoline, trading in counterfeit goods, banned goods, illegal transportation of goods across the border, illegal purchase and storage of narcotics, etc. With the efforts and close coordination between the two forces, in recent years, the management and control of entry and exit, import and export have been carried out in accordance with the provisions of law, meeting the requirements of assigned tasks, creating favorable conditions for economic development of Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Dong Nai provinces.

In addition, the three units have coordinated, promoted propaganda, widely disseminated, provided timely and complete information on the national single window mechanism to people and businesses; supported people and businesses in carrying out administrative procedures in implementing electronic border procedures at seaports and electronic customs procedures according to the National Single Window Mechanism and the ASEAN Single Window Mechanism associated with national digital transformation.

From 2019 to 2024, the three units coordinated to carry out inspection procedures, supervise export, import, transit and port transfers for 46,482 trips, 922,821 crew members, 10,356 passengers, 393,261,881 tons of goods of all kinds, 384 passenger ships with 363,347 crew members, 846,877 passengers, 21 flights, 112 crew, 20 passengers, etc.

Effective coordination between Border Guards and Customs of BR-VT and Dong Nai

Border Guard Force of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Customs of Ba Ria - Vung Tau exchange information in coordinating the implementation of tasks.

Through inspection and control, incidents have been promptly detected and handled, ensuring strict procedures and compliance with legal regulations. Typically, the two forces coordinated to detect a case of fertilizer production at an incorrect location in the certificate of eligibility for fertilizer production/fertilizer production license with a quantity of 52 tons of fertilizer. The People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province issued a decision to impose an administrative fine of a total of VND 100 million.

At the conference, many opinions were presented by the units, raising good and effective practices; at the same time, proposals and recommendations were made to remove obstacles and problems in order to continue to effectively implement the coordination regulations.

In the coming time, the three units will continue to seriously implement the contents of the coordination plan. Focus on disseminating and thoroughly understanding documents of the Government, Ministry of National Defense, Border Guard Command, Ministry of Finance, General Department of Customs, People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and People's Committee of Dong Nai province in the seaport border gate area. Regularly exchange information related to the subjects and methods and tricks of crime, propose plans to fight and destroy.

In addition, proactively support the force in handling incidents, strengthen professional measures to detect crimes, especially drug crimes, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the border gate and seaport areas of the two provinces.
