Dien Bien Customs coordinates to seize 2,600 tablets of ecstasy

At 5:20PM, on January 28, in Unit 10 area, Pom Lot commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province, Anti-drug Enforcement Team (Dien Bien Customs Department); PC04 (Dien Bien Police); the police of North Dien Bien District, Dien Bien Province, unexpectedly discovered three people standing on the roadside with many suspicous signs of committing drug crimes.

When seeing the working group approaching to check, two male subjects got on a motorbike and fled. The working group quickly arrested a woman who claimed to be Va Thi May (born in 1979 and residing in Na U village, Na U commune, Dien Bien district).

During the inspection process, the force discovered that inside of a pink plastic bag hung at the hook on the left hand side of Va Thi May’s motorbike, there were 13 plastic bags (including three pink bags and 10 green bags) containing pink tablets. Additionally,there was a symbol of WY on each tablet (about 2,600 tablets suspected to be synthetic drugs).

Va Thi May claimed the above 13 bags were synthetic drugs (ecstasy) that were being delivered for consumption and were seized by the task force.

The next day, the working group made a record of arresting the offender for Va Thi May and seizing and sealing the drugs as prescribed.

Currently, all dossiers, subjects and exhibits have been handed over to Dien Bien Police for further investigation.
