Customs sector promote to propagate on anti-corruption

VCN – Propagating anti-corruption work is one of the key tasks recently requested by the General Department of Customs to its units for the implementation of the Decision No. 349/QD-TCHQ of the Minister of Finance promulgating the implementation plan of Anti-corruption in 2018; Official Letter No. 527/BTC-TTr of the Ministry of Finance on the implementation of the 2019 key work programme of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption (Official Letter 3739/TCHQ-TTr dated 6/6/2019 of the General Department of Vietnam Customs).

Notably, leaders of the General Department of Vietnam Customs requested Customs News to coordinate with related units to promote propaganda and thoroughly grasp the Party's guidelines, policies and laws on anti-corruption.

At the same time, units were told to increase the amount of time, content of propaganda and dissemination of anti-corruption work and implement tasks of the Customs sector, associated with propaganda of Directive No. 50-CT/TW dated December 7, 2015 of the 10^th Politburo Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in the detection and handling of cases of corruption, Central Resolution No.4 (the 11^thCommittee) on urgent issues of construction and reorganisation of the Party and Central Resolution No.4 (the 12^th Committee) on strengthening construction and reorganisation of the Party.

Besides that, leaders of the General Department of Vietnam Customs instructed the units to implement the Decision No. 349/QD-TCHQ on March 8, 2019 of the Minister of Finance on promulgating the implementation plan of Anti-corruption Law in 2018 and related issues relating to corruption, associated with the implementation of Resolution 4, 6, 7 and8 (12^th Committee), and regulations on power control for anti-corruption.

The General Department of Vietnam Customs assigned the Legal Department to coordinate with the Inspection Department and the related units in propagating and planning training courses for the Anti-corruption Law of 2018 and related regulation documents; to review and amend documents under the authority of the General Department of Vietnam Customs or request the Ministry of Finance and the Government to amend, supplement, replace, abolish and issue new documents related to the Anti-corruption Law in 2018.

Meanwhile, units of the Customs sector needed to build a plan for implementing the Party's and State's regulations on anti-corruption, especially regulation No. 08-QDi/TW dated October 25, 2018, of the Central Executive Committee stipulating on the responsibility to set examples of officials and party members; Document No. 48-CV/BCSĐ dated February 18, 2019 by the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Finance.
