Customs handled nearly 3 million dossiers via online public service system

According to the latest information from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, since the beginning of the year to present day, the entire sector has processed nearly 3 million Customs dossiers via the online public service system. In which, nearly 2.7 million Customs dossiers were processed in the first quarter, 230,000 Customs dossiers were processed from the beginning of April to present day.

So far, the Customs has provided 126 of 178 online Customs administrative procedures at a minimum level 3. In which, 123 procedures have been provided at level 4 (the highest level of online public service in Vietnam).

In 2018, the General Department of Vietnam Customs continues to expand the online public service at a minimum level 3 for 42 procedures. Hence, the quantity of Customs administrative procedures which are provided with an online public service at a minimum level 3 will increase to 168 of 178 procedures, equivalent to 94%.

The leader of E-Customs Information Management Division (under Customs IT and Statistics Department- the General Department of Vietnam Customs) said that although the rate is only 94%, in reality, nearly almost all administrative procedures are transacted between enterprises, people and the Customs.

Especially, in 2018, the Customs also strives to deploy the Customs operations arising in the operation between Customs authority and people and enterprises. These operations are stipulated in legal normative documents but they have not been provided as Customs administrative procedures. For example, the extension of transit of goods; the quotas management of color corrugated roofing sheet for the purpose of implementing the Protective Tariff.

The Customs has handled over 12 million dossiers in the network environment via the VNACCS/VCIS system, e-payment portal and the Customs online public service system.
