Customs handled nearly 174,000 dossiers via Online Public Services system

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, by the beginning of December, the total number of online public service which reached at least level 3 in the customs sector was 173/183 procedures (accounting for over 94.5% of total administrative procedures for the whole sector).

In that, the number of online public services that reached level 4 was 164; number of online public services at level 3 was 9; the remaining 10 procedures were at levels 1 and 2 (not implementing online public services at level 4 ineffectively). By the end of 15/11, the Customs 36a Online Public Services System (under Resolution 36a/NQ-CP about e-Government dated 14/10/2015) received and processed nearly 174,000 dossiers, with the participation of nearly 24,000 businesses and individuals.

Some highlights for content of other IT applications in the Customs sector were: Continuing to coordinate with professional units under the General Department of Vietnam Customs and local customs authorities for reviewing and unifying the requirements of the problem of professional activities and time for upgrading IT systems in order to comply with the current regulations of Decree No. 59/2018/ND-CP dated 20/4/2018, the Circular No. 39/2018/TT-BTC dated 20/4/2018.

In particular, Customs IT and Statistics Department has worked with the Import-Export Duty Department, Customs Control and Supervision Department. At the same time, they received the requirements for settling professional problems from the Import-Export Duty Department, HCM City Customs Department, Hai Phong Customs Department.

Continuing to complete and expand the VASSCM system nationwide. Until now, the system has been implemented in 25/35 local customs authorities for 190 enterprises operating in ports, warehouses and yards.

The General Department of Vietnam Customs is continuing to complete the management functions for the items on the morphological changes of goods and goods owners in the process of storage in the bonded warehouse in the system.
