Customs handled more than 14 million declarations in 2020

In particular, the number of declarations classified in the green channel was 7.4 million; yellow channel was 6 million, and red channel was nearly 700,000.
In terms of scale of turnover, among 35 local customs departments, Bac Ninh Customs Department achieved the highest turnover with $133 billion, increasing by 10% compared to 2019.
The other units with large turnover are HCM City Customs Department, Hai Phong Customs Department, Hanoi Customs Department and Dong Nai Customs Department.
In particular, HCM City Customs Department achieved a turnover of $116 billion, increasing by 0.9%; Hai Phong Customs Department reached $73 billion, increasing by 6.4%; Hanoi Customs Department reached $40.7 billion; rising by 17.1%; Dong Nai Customs Department reached $29.8 billion, decreasing by 7.1%.
A number of units with moderate scale of turnover but high growth rate like Cao Bang Customs Department reached $356 million, increasing by 108%; Quang Ngai Customs Department achieved $4.1 billion; increasing by 65%.
In 2020, the total value of import-export turnover of the whole country reached $545.36 billion, increasing by 5.4% compared to 2019. In particular, export value of goods achieved $282.65 billion, increasing by 7%, equivalent to an increase of $18.39 billion. Import value reached $262.70 billion, increasing by 3.7%, equivalent to an increase of $9.31 billion.
