Citibank officially deploys electronic tax payments 24/7

General Department of Vietnam Customs announced on adding Citibank N.A., branch in Hanoi and HCM City to the list of banks implementing e-payment of tax and clearance 24/7.
Citibank's participation in electronic tax payment and clearance 24/7 aims to strengthen administrative procedure reform, reducing cargo clearance time, reducing tax payment time, and facilitating taxpayers.
Accordingly, by direct operation on the website of the customs e-payment portal (epayment.customs.gov.vn), business just need to log in and choose the tax to be paid and the system will display the amount and exact tax type, then just select the debit account and make tax payment.
Compared to the process of the current collection methods, the method of electronic payment and clearance 24/7 has advantages, simplicity and convenience. With a synchronous investment in technology, Citibank hopes to bring customers convenient products and services, creating maximum convenience for businesses in import and export activities.
Up to this point, 44 banks have worked with the General Department of Vietnam Customs in this regard. In particular, there are 38 banks participating in the electronic tax payment and clearance 24/7 and 7 banks participating in the electronic tax payment programme that enterprises ask for collection.
