VCN - Due to a worker infected with Covid-19, the Government of Ninh Minh district (China) has just notified the Vietnamese side of the suspension of import and export customs clearance at Ai Diem-Chi Ma border gate to control and trace infections.

Accordingly, Ninh Minh district will temporarily block the Ai Diem border gate and suspend customs clearance of import and export goods from 8am on January 17 to conduct tracing of Ai Diem town.
To ensure goods for businesses in the above situation, Chi Ma border gate Customs Branch (Lang Son Customs Department) has proactively informed businesses that export goods through the area to avoid economic losses.

By the end of January 16, there were about 1,351 trucks left at border gates in Lang Son province. Specifically, Huu Nghi international border gate has 788 trucks (including 482 trucks of agricultural products); Tan Thanh border gate has 460 trucks (including 234 trucks of fresh fruits); and Chi Ma border gate has 103 trucks (including 95 trucks of agricultural products).
