VCN - Recently, Dong Dang Economic Zone Authority - Lang Son received a working letter from the People's Government of Ningming district (Guangxi, China) announcing the easing of Covid-19 testing on frozen goods of Vietnam exported to China through the Chi Ma - Ai Diem border gate.

According to the Dong Dang - Lang Son border gate economic zone management board, through talks, on August 30, 2022, Dong Dang Economic Zone Authority received a letter from the Ningming’s authorities.

Accordingly, the Chinese side announced that, from August 22, 2022, the Ai Diem border gate opposite Chi Ma border gate (Vietnam) would resume import-export trade activities.

For frozen products of Vietnam exported to Ai Diem border gate, they would be exempt from Covid-19 testing and preventive disinfection for low-risk frozen goods exported to China.

Exports of Vietnam to China, after leaving the inspection and supervision area managed by China Customs, will be handled following the method of static preservation at the designated cargo yard outside the hatch (on the side of Ai Diem border gate).

During the time of carrying out static preservation, goods will be preserved in normal temperature conditions and people are not allowed to enter. After 24 hours, the truck will be allowed to leave.

A representative of Chi Ma Customs Branch (Lang Son Customs Department) said that he had also grasped the information. Accordingly, to help Vietnamese businesses and traders to be more convenient in the process of registering for carrying out procedures, the unit has notified and communicated to businesses and traders engaging in import-export activities to actively bring goods back to the border gate for exportation.

At the same time, Chi Ma Customs Branch also informed enterprises operating yards at Chi Ma border gate to arrange warehouses to store goods for import and export enterprises.
