With the total increase in turnover, the unit has collected and paid VND405.09 billion to the State budget, reaching 270% of the assigned revenue target and increasing by 235.32%, compared with the same period in 2020.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Le Minh Duc, Director of the Cau Treo International Border Gate Customs Branch, said, “in the context of pandemic prevention and cargo clearance, the team had implemented many solutions to facilitate import-export enterprises to increase budget revenue. The unit also determined that ensuring the Covid-19 pandemic prevention was a vital factor to maintaining import and export activities, so the unit performed two tasks in unison. Accordingly, thanks to timely applied pandemic prevention measures, as well as support policies to solve problems and difficulties, the unit had attracted a number of businesses to carry out customs procedures through the area.

Typically, after prioritizing channeling through the Cau Treo Customs Branch, in mid-November 2021, the Haiyang Trade and Production Co., Ltd. (Binh Thuan), decided to carry out import and export activities of goods through the Cau Treo international border gate. Previously, this business specialized in transit procedures for goods to Laos and China at a number of border gates in the central region.
With that positivity, up to this point, Cau Treo Customs is supporting 397 enterprises in import and export activities through the area.
According to Mr. Le Minh Duc, along with the excitement of import and export activities, the team continues to coordinate with competent forces at the border gate to implement measures to prevent Covid-19 pandemic to ensure safety in cargo clearance goods for exporting to Laos and Thailand.
With many pandemic prevention experiences previously, the team continues to request to change drivers and vehicles on both sides of the border gate. In addition, they also arranged staff to work online and in person to prevent and control Covid-19. In particular, the staff directly performing the task always maintain the 5K measures of the Ministry of Health.
It is forecasted that in the last days of this year, the number of vehicles and goods gathered at the border gate would increase dramatically. According to their assessment, most businesses will carry out procedures to import products, business materials and consumer goods to serve the Tet market. Therefore, in order to create ideal conditions for this activity to be cleared quickly and facilitate the settlement of procedures in accordance with regulations, the Cau Treo Customs has built specific plans and assigned customs officers and employees to directly implement them. At the same time, the unit would actively coordinate with Border Guard forces to strictly control acts of illegally transported goods across the border.
Assessing the revenue collection results of the Cau Treo Customs Branch, Mr. Dinh Van Hoa, Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Customs Department said, “with a year of many fluctuations like 2021, the results of professional activities, especially the revenue collection, achieved by Cau Treo Customs are remarkable. In particular, by collecting more than VND400 billion, they have reached a record revenue since Cau Treo international border gate was established. With this record of revenue, the Cau Treo Customs team is one of the units that successfully completed their task this year.
