The border customs branch conducted five cases, Post Clearance Audit Customs Branch conducted 120 cases including 46 cases of on-site audits reaching 102 percent and 95 cases of inspection conducted at customs headquarter. Revenue collection reached VND 18.75 billion, 128 percent of the plan.
Ba Ria – Vung Tau Customs Department said that in 2019, the unit was assigned to conduct 45 on-site audits and no target for revenue collection. However, the unit set the target of striving to collect VND 14.6 billion.
Despite achieving strong results, according to Ba Ria-Vung Tau Customs Department, post-clearance audits at the unit still face some difficulties.
According to the regulation of rotation of the working position of the sector, leading to not ensuring the expert of customs officials who performed task of post-clearance audit, affecting the qualifications and experience in the process of professional performance, especially in price and C/O.
In addition, import and export goods implementing procedures in the province are not diverse and the size of enterprises is mainly small and medium. A few large-scale enterprises in recent years have implemented post clearance audit by the unit so it leads to limiting sources of post-clearance audits in the following years.
