ASEAN Customs authorities share experience on management

VCN – The fourth online working session of Joint Customs Middle Management Programme (JCMMP) was held, with the participation of all member countries of ASEAN. The meeting took place on October 6 and 7.

Vietnam Customs shares lessons in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the workshop, Vietnam Customs, led by Deputy Director of Customs Control and Supervision Tran Duc Hung, participated in sharing about the role of customs in force majeure situations and lessons learned from the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the framework of this webinar, countries shared experience about contents such as the role of customs in force majeure, border management, anti-smuggling and managing illegal trade for sensitive items affecting to environment, risk management, mutual recognition agreements, tax and customs programmes, WCO performance metrics mechanism, preventing organised crime through border protection.

The JCMMP programme is a Joint Customs Middle Management Programme within the Customs Capacity Building Working Group (CCBWG) framework.
