Appointing new Director of Bac Ninh Customs Department

In attendance at the ceremony were Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province; Mr. Phan The Tuan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang Province, along with representatives from various departments, agencies, and branches of Bac Ninh Province.
At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Le Thang, Deputy Director of Personnel and Organisation Department (General Department of Vietnam Customs), announced Decision No. 2235/QĐ-TCHQ dated September 27, 2024, of the Director General of Vietnam Customs on the appointment of Pham Chi Thanh, Deputy Director of Bac Ninh Customs Department, to the position of Director of Bac Ninh Customs Department, effective from October 1, 2024.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Duc Hung, Deputy Director General of Vietnam Customs, acknowledged that Mr. Pham Chi Thanh has had over 28 years of experience working in the Customs sector, holding various positions in professional fields, including many years in leadership and management roles.
During his career, Mr. Pham Chi Thanh has demonstrated strong management, leadership, and responsibility in his work. He is well-versed in customs law, has a high level of expertise, and has accumulated extensive experience in customs operations. With a high sense of responsibility, he has always successfully completed assigned tasks and has the ability to unite the masses and coordinate well with relevant agencies in carrying out tasks.

Assigning tasks to the new Director of Bac Ninh Customs Department, Deputy Director General Tran Duc Hung requested that comrade Pham Chi Thanh, in his new position, focus on grasping the work, together with the leadership team and the Party Committee of Bac Ninh Customs Department, to organize and direct the affiliated units to successfully complete the unit's political tasks.
At the same time, continue to promote management and leadership skills, demonstrate the leadership qualities, closely follow and concretize the contents, programs for economic and social development of the provinces: Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, and Thai Nguyen, and the work plan of Bac Ninh Customs Department, contributing to promoting and developing the economy and society in local areas.
Effectively implement the work regulations to strengthen the relationship and coordination in the Department's leadership team with the units in the Department, at the same time promote democracy, maintain discipline, internal unity and continue to build the unit to develop further.
In particular, continue to organize, arrange, and assign cadres and civil servants suitable to the actual situation; continue to promote the deployment of management software; continue to support and create favorable conditions for the business community; seek support and coordinate well with other units in the industry to contribute to the unit's successful completion of assigned tasks.
Speaking to accept the assignment, the new Director of Bac Ninh Customs Department, Pham Chi Thanh, has received and grasped the directive of the leadership of the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
Comrade Pham Chi Thanh also expressed his honor and sincere gratitude to the leadership of the General Department of Vietnam Customs and the Ministry of Finance for their trust and confidence in assigning the task.
In his new position, comrade Pham Chi Thanh pledges to continue promoting the unit's tradition of solidarity; continue to improve management skills, together with the Party Committee and the Department's leadership to lead the unit to successfully complete assigned tasks.
In particular, continue to implement the Customs Development Strategy to 2030, build Bac Ninh Customs Department as a leading unit in the development and modernization of customs
