According to Hai Phong Customs Department, in 2019, administrative reform and customs modernisation at the unit was renewed. This helped in terms of reducing time, costs and procedures for enterprises, improving the efficiency of Customs administration, and reducing contact between customs civil servants and enterprises to prevent troubles and harassment in the direction of the Government in Resolution No. 02/2019 / NQ-CP.

A typical example of success was the expansion of VASSCM in bonded warehouses.

The leader of Hai Phong Customs Department said following the success of the VASSCM, which was studied and developed by Hai Phong Customs Department since 2017 and was deployed by the General Department of Customs to expand to all seaport border gates in 2018 and 2019, Hai Phong Customs Department completed upgrading the system (version 2.4) to implement to all warehouses, yards and ports operators and bonded warehouses in the city.

So far, VASSCM has been connected with 58 warehouses, yards, ports operators and 38 bonded warehouses to meet the requirements of customs management and supervision for the entire movement of goods in and out of warehouses, yards and ports, and bring benefits to warehouses, yards and ports operators.

In addition, Hai Phong Customs Department is deploying the connection of VASSCM with the container scanning management system to take advantage of the container information data source into the screening area (Getin) as input data of VASSCM.
