90% of Hai Phong Customs officers take part in capacity assessment exam at level 2 or more

Earlier, on August 17 and 18, Hai Phong Customs Department conducted a capacity assessment exam for officers who do not hold leadership positions in 2023 with the participation of 452 officers.
The officers participate in capacity assessment in seven major technical operations, including customs control and supervision, post-clearance audit, anti-smuggling, import-export duties, risk management, handling violation and inspection. The customs control and supervision officers account for the largest number of participants with 282 officers.
According to Hai Phong Customs Department, on August 24, about 90% of total number of officers participating in capacity assessment reached levels 2 and 3 (the two highest levels).
Notably, there are 17 candidates with the maximum score (100/100 points), including 11 officers in the field of customs control and supervision, three officers in the field of import and export duties, two risk management officers and one anti-smuggling officer.
Hai Phong Customs Department has effectively implemented solutions such as: setting up an Exam Council for capacity assessment for officers who do not hold leadership positions; promulgating the regulation on the examination; installing a network connection for 50 computers and four online surveillance cameras in the exam room.
