500 kg pharmaceuticals held in custody as unknown orgin

At 8:50 PM on 5^th October, 2016 in the area of Dan Tien port (Hai Tien Ward, Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh Province) the Anti-smuggling Enforcement Unit under Integrated Control Station Pier Km15 detected and seized suspicious cargo including: 100kg Angelica sinensis, 50kg Flos Carthami tinctorii, 150kg Prunilla vulgaris L., 100kg Radix platycodi grandiflori, 100kg Radix Glycyrrhizae.

All pharmaceuticals were dried, of unidentied origin and owner. After that, the Integrated Control Station Pier Km15 – Dan Tien port made a record of certificate, completed the records in order to request the People’s Committee of Mong Cai to treat under the law.

Earlier, in January 2016, The Inspection goods Unit in the station discovered and seized six sacks which contained a total of 300 kg of medicinal herbs (Radix Salviae miltiorrhizae), with no information about the owner and unknown origin.
