180,000 tablets of synthetic drugs seized by Lao Cai Customs

VCN - On December 12, a representative of the local customs department coordinated with the local border guard to seize 180,000 tablets of synthetic drugs and about 1kg of white crystals, suspected to be methamphetamine.

At the end of November, the Customs Enforcement Team, under the Lao Cai Customs Department, collaborated with local agencies to tackle a case of illegal trafficking of drugs.

The relevant forces have arrested Pua Lao Chang, 22, and Pua A Ty, 19, residing in Moc Chau, Son La province.

The representative said the drugs were hidden inside two sacks including clothes and blankets.

Currently, the team is investigating the case with local agencies.

This is one of the largest seizures by Lao Cai Customs in recent years.
