Training course held on the CLiKC! program by the World Customs Organization

Attending the opening ceremony were Ms. Katelin Maher, Deputy Director of USAID-TFP Project and Mr. Tran Thoang, Senior Customs Expert, Deputy Director of USAID-TFP Project, Mr. Do Van Quang, Director of Customs Department of Goods Verification, Ms. Vu Hong Van, Deputy Rector of Vietnam Customs and Mr. Bui Ngoc Loi, Deputy Director of thePersonnel and Organization Department.
Up to 35 Customs officers attended the training course. These officers were introduced to the CliKC! program, 26 subjects of the program related to Customs operations and regulations, as well as methods for learning about CliKC!. Accordingly, each officer will select subjects with the support of experts from USAID-TFP project and Vietnam Customs School.
The CLiKC! WCO Training Portal gathers all training-related tools in a single portal. This website offers the worldwide Customs Community a single entry point for WCO training activities and a collaborative portal to share and foster Customs knowledge.
There are 26 CLiKC! training courses now available in English, French, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese on various customs subjects such as commodity classification, valuation assessment, customs procedures, determination of origin and customs integrity.
Training on CLiKC! is an important part of the training plan in the direction of associating practices with international integration requirements by using advanced WCO training tools. After grasping the purposes, requirements and contents of CLiKC!, officers will select a research subject for online learning and if they achieve the results specified by the WCO, they will receive a certificate.
In April 2019, 2 training courses on CLiKC! will be held for Customs offers in Quang Ninh province. A total of 107 customs officers who have experience and knowledge on Customs and English will attend the training course.
After the training course, Customs officers will complete their selected subjects. The learning results will be synthesized and evaluated by Vietnam Customs School as a basis for proposing to the General Department of Customs on the orientation of using modern training tools of Vietnam Customs, in line with the policy of effective use of current human resources in the context of increasing work pressure and requirements.
