Thai Nguyen Customs makes great efforts to facilitate import and export enterprises

Over 50 outstanding companies under the managed by Thai Nguyen Customs Branch attended the conference.
At the opening of the Conference, Deputy Director of Bac Ninh Customs Department Nguyen Manh Hung said that to facilitate the business community, Bac Ninh Customs Department, including Thai Nguyen Customs Branch always support the business community in the production and business process.
In addition to promptly disseminating the law, Bac Ninh Customs always promptly removes and answers difficulties for businesses in customs process to quickly clear goods and comply with the law.
“At the conference, Bac Ninh Customs Department, especially Thai Nguyen Customs Branch, continued to gather feedback from the business community. The branch directly answered questions of businesses within the branch’s competency, and will report to the competent authorities for contents beyond its authority” Deputy Director Nguyen Manh Hung said.

According to Director of Thai Nguyen Customs Branch Nguyen Dang Chinh, in the first half of the year, 498 businesses registered to carry out customs procedures at the branch.
The total number of declarations reached about 100,000, the total import-export turnover achieved about US$24 billion, up 15% and 18% respectively over the same period in 2023.
As of July, Thai Nguyen Customs Branch collected about VND1,400 billion, meeting about 56% of target for the whole year, up about 10% year-on-year.
Exports mainly are mobile phones, tablets, smart wearables, solar panel products, helmets, plastic floor panels, garments, and hand tools, medical tools, livestock tools, industrial products from minerals of all kinds...
Imported goods are mainly machinery and equipment creating fixed assets; electronic components for manufacturing mobile phones and high-tech products; raw materials for processing and manufacturing garments for export; Medical device, hand tools of all kinds, other raw materials and supplies for production of solar energy equipment, helmets, plastic floor panels...
The operational areas mainly are processing, export production, processing and importing raw materials for domestic consumer goods production.

“To facilitate the business community, the branch continuously promotes administrative procedure reform at all operational processes and at all units to improve efficiency of work. The branch has focused on using modern machinery and equipment, and applying information technology in performing work to implement customs modernization, facilitate trade and import-export activities” Chinh said.
At the conference, the representative of Thai Nguyen Customs Branch directly answered questions raised by the business community. For example, the export processing enterprise is allowed to buy some packaging materials (such as pallets, tape, pallet wrapping film...) for package export goods with 8% or 10% Value Added Tax invoices or not? or must open an import declaration.

Export processing enterprises sign contracts lump-sum contract including raw materials to hire domestic contractors to install exhaust gas and domestic wastewater treatment systems, electrical systems, and ventilation systems. So enterprises that have materials (of domestic origin) and the contractor bringing into the export processing enterprise to construct items under the export processing enterprise contract are allowed to open an import declaration or not?
Export production enterprises that buy raw materials from foreign traders to produce 100% export goods from bonded warehouses will open declaration under what regime?
At the Conference, three companies eligible to participate in the Pilot Program to support and encourage businesses to voluntarily comply with the Customs laws, were awarded certificates from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, including: Co., Ltd. UTI Vina; RFTECH Thai Nguyen Company Limited and KSD Vina Company Limited.
These are the first 3 companies managed by Thai Nguyen Customs Branch are recognized by the General Department of Vietnam Customs to participate in the pilot program.
