According to the leader of Ta Lung Border Gate Customs Branch, the Conference is a practical activity to concretize Decision No. 74/QD-HQCB dated February 21, 2024 of Cao Bang Customs Department on development of Customs-Business partnership and related parties in 2024.
The Conference creates opportunities for Customs to exchange information, disseminate regulations, mechanisms and policies on the processing sector to the business community.
At the Conference, the representative of the branch also gathered feedback from the enterprises, aiming to guide them in implementing customs procedures for processing regime of the enterprise in line with regulations.
The representative received and answered questions related to customs procedures and administrative procedures when the customs declaration system has error; distinguishing scrap and waste products, procedures for destroying scrap and waste products…
Ta Lung Border Gate is the most important area for import and export activities in Cao Bang.
By the end of the third quarter of 2024, Ta Lung Border Gate Customs Branch (Cao Bang Customs Department) has achieved the revenue target soon and tasks for the whole year.
The Department has processed customs procedures (via the VNACCS/VCIS system) for 6,164 declarations of 169 enterprises, with a total import-export turnover of over US$ 307 million.
The number of declarations increased by 27% and the import-export turnover rose 56% year-on-year.
The growth in import-export activities has helped the Department's revenue surge compared to the same period in 2023.
Specifically, the Department's budget revenue increased by 40% to VND 726.86 billion, meeting 163.34% of the annual target assigned by the Ministry of Finance.
The fight against smuggling and trade fraud has also recorded many positive results. The Department has led and coordinated to arrest 25 cases, worth over VND214 million; fined 22 administrative violations worth over VND61 million.
