Accordingly, the GDVC has announced 32 authorized commercial banks for them to register to operate as VAT refund agents for foreigners at Da Nang International Airport.
Currently, the Ministry of Finance has selected a commercial bank as VAT refund agent for foreigners at Da Nang International Airport. Therefore, the GDVC has announced to these banks to register.
According to the GDVC, on May 31, the Ministry of Finance issued Circular 72/2014/TT-BTC regulating VAT refund for goods of foreigners and oversea Vietnamese on exit, which is amended and supplemented in Circular 92/2019/TT-BTC. Accordingly, Da Nang International Airport is applied VAT refund to foreigners and oversea Vietnamese.
Over the past time, Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank has operated as a tax refund agent at Da Nang International Airport. However, on March 4, 2024, Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank applied an official dispatch for termination of its operation as Tax refund agent, and was approved by the Customs.
However, in order for VAT refunds at Da Nang International Airport to be implemented smoothly, the GDVC has requested Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank to continue performing tax refunds until the Ministry Finance issues a written notice of the selection of another commercial bank to replace.
