Seize 15 kg of meth transporting from Laos to Vietnam

VCN – Through discussion with Customs News reporter, representative of Anti-drugs Enforcement Unit – Ha Tinh Customs Department said that, the unit has coordinated with competent forces to successfully close special project 479L, arrested the person who transported 15kg of meths from Laos to Vietnam.

At 4:30 AM on 18/3, at Km 65, Highway 8A, Ha Trai village, Son Kim 1 commune, Huong Son district (Ha Tinh), Drug Prevention and Crime Division, Cau Treo Border Post, Son Hong Border Post (Ha Tinh Border Defense force), Anti-drugs Enforcement Unit (Ha Tinh Customs Department), Unit 5 of Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department (General Department of Vietnam Customs); Ha Tinh police, Huong Son district police; Special force on drugs prevention and crime (Unit 2) - The Coast Guard has coordinated to monitor and arrest 1 person who carried a green bag from the bottom of the field, seized 15 yellow nylon bags containing meths with total weight was 15kg.

After that, the offender was identified as Thao Cu Mua (was born in 1987, Lao nationality, Mong people, lives in Nọong Póng, Khăm Cợt district, Borikhamxay.

Initially, Thao Cu Mua claimed that he transported the meths from Laos to Vietnam for a Vietnamese person with the price of $US 120,000.

At present, the case is being coordinated by the competent forces for further investigation.
