Revenue collection of Hanoi Customs Department increases 36.2%

Notably, the number of declarations registered to carry out customs procedures at Hanoi Customs Department reached more than 248,000 papers, equivalent to 101.5% over the same period in 2021; the import-export turnover achieved US$15.31 billion, equalling 129.1%.
Along with the rise of customs declarations and import-export turnover, revenue collection of Hanoi Customs Department also increased significantly over the same period.
The whole department collected VND7,206 billion, equalling 26.3% of current appropriation and equivalent to 136.2% over the same period in 2021. Hanoi area collected VND5,615 billion, equalling 25.6% of current appropriation.
According to Hanoi Customs Department, implementing the task of revenue collection, in the first quarter, the unit issued documents to guide customs branches in the implementation of five specific missions on customs valuation in order to limit the existing problems in 2021 (late updating information about suspicion, inspection and consultation result; identify value lower than the price of the database), ensuring the effectiveness and timeliness in the updating and data mining of price and preventing trade fraud.
The unit also conducted consultations for 706 declarations, accepted declared value after consultation for 644 declarations; revoked valuation and enterprises agreed to make additional declarations for 62 declarations; collect arrears of VND4.05 billion.
