Quang Tri Customs seizes 60,000 synthetic drug tablets

On August 14, at Lang Vay village, Tan Long commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province, Drug and Crime Prevention Department (Border Defence force of Quang Tri province) worked with other units including Anti-drugs enforcement unti – Quang Tri Customs Department and arrested Ho Van Long (born in 2000, residing in village 1, Thuan commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province) due to illegally transporting drugs.

At the scene, the competent force seized 60,000 pink cylindrical tablets, each side printed with the image of WY on the surface.

Long claimed all the above tablets were synthetic drugs that were illegally transported from Laos to Quang Tri for domestic consumption.

The case is being expanded and investigated by Border Defence force of Quang Tri province in coordination with relevant competent units for handing over to the Investigation Police Agency (Quang Tri Police) to continue investigation and handling.

Previously, Quang Tri Border Defence force and Quang Tri Customs Department established Special Project QT721p in collaboration with the Central Special Task Force on Drug and Crime Prevention (Border Defence force) and the Border Defence force of Da Nang City to destroy the line of drugs trafficking from Laos through the border area of ​​Quang Tri to Da Nang city.

In July 26, at Lao Bao international border gate areas and Lao Bao town, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri; the area of ​​Hoa Khanh Nam ward, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city, the competent forces detected and arrested five people who illegally traded and transported 6 kg of ketamine (worth about VND 5 billion).
