Quang Ninh Customs Department tops the DDCI 2021.

This is the 7th year that the conference has been held by Quang Ninh province to assess and rank the competitiveness of 13 localities and 22 departments and local agencies in the province. This is also the second year that the province has launched the DDCI program amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Although business production has faced many difficulties, 1,972 enterprises have actively participated in the program, decreasing by about 100 enterprises compared with the previous year, but it is still higher than in 2018 and 2019. This shows the trust in the DDCI as a tool to help convey the voice of the business community, and reflect the socio-economic management capacity of departments, agencies and local government.

This is the first year that DDCI Quang Ninh has implemented the pilot proposal to assess the administrative procedures that departments, agencies and sectors have the most interaction with businesses.

In general, businesses are satisfied with the service quality of departments, agencies and sectors during the implementation of administrative procedures. However, the application of IT in handling administrative procedures is still low.

DDCI 2021 rankings and Scores.

A large number of businesses still use traditional methods; many enterprises still have to revise their records when performing administrative procedures at some departments, agencies and sectors such as the Department of Education and Training, the Management Board of the Economic Zone, the Social Security, the Department of Construction, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Tourism, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and Department of Health.

In the results of DDCI 2021, Quang Ninh ranked first after one year, this position was held by the Management Board of the Economic Zone.

Regarding the DDCI 2021 composite indicators, both the local departments, agencies and sectors have improved compared to the previous year. Quang Yen Town ranks first. Meanwhile, Cam Pha City fell to 5th place. Dong Trieu Town and Uong Bi City rose to the top 5.
