Quang Nam Customs seizes 48 kg of fireworks

VCN – Quang Nam Customs Department has just seized 48 kg of fireworks inside a trailer at Chu Lai port.

The authorities take statements from the suspect.

Accordingly, at 3:10 p.m., July 2, 2024, during the process of monitoring goods in transit at Chu Lai Port, Tam Hiep commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province, civil servants of the Operations Team at Chu Lai Port of Ky Ha Port Customs Branch - Quang Nam Provincial Customs Department discovered that inside the trailer with control plate 92R00468, there were 3 red nylon sacks without customs declaration, containing 30 boxes of fireworks, weighing about about 48kg.

The trailer was driven by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thuan to transport goods under declaration number 500470504960 registered on July 1, 2024.

The seized fireworks

Ky Ha Port Customs Branch coordinated with Nui Thanh District Police, Chu Lai Port Border Guard Station - Ky Ha Port Border Guard Station to conduct inspection, search and make a record. The suspect and infringing goods were handed over to Nui Thanh District Police for further investigation and clarification.
