Powdered milk: Industry and Trade, and Agriculture join hands

At the same time, based on Decision No. 3648 / QD-BCT dated 8-9-2016 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the list of imported goods must be inspected for quality assurance, technical regulations, food safety before clearance under the management responsibility of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, canned and powdered milk must have food safety inspection before clearance.

Therefore, canned and powdered milk is under the adjustment of the above documents

However, the enterprises’ problems have been recognized by the General Department of Customs and they continue to propose to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the process of amending the legal documents about professional inspection which aims to facilitate import-export enterprises in order to shorten clearance time. Also following the spirit of Decision 2026 / QD-TTg of the Prime Minister and Resolution 19-2016 / NQ-CP of the Government

Previously, the Customs Newspaper reflected the opinion of Hai Phong Customs Department on imported finished milk products that has to be managed under many ministries. So it indirectly caused difficulties for enterprises and did not follow the Government’s policy about reform and facilitate to import-export operation.
