Passengers on exit and entry via Noi Bai International Airport increase 73.7 percent

Specifically, the unit has completed procedures for 10.8 million passengers (equivalent to 173.7 percent in the same period in 2018) and 64,866 flights (equivalent to 113.3 percent in the same period in 2018).

It is expected that the number of passengers entering the country will increase at the end of the year, mainly from tourists and overseas Vietnamese returning to their hometowns to celebrate Tet, therefore, Noi Bai International Airport Customs Branch has planned and arranged officials to settle procedures quickly for passengers on exit and entry but still ensuring the work of management.

Besides that, with the increase in the number of passengers on exit and entry, in 2019, the number of customs declarations implementing procedures through units under Hanoi Customs Department exceeded 1.1 million declarations (equivalent to 107.3 percent of the same period in 2018), with total import and export turnover $47.4 billion (113.9 percent over the same period in 2018).

The significant growth in 2019 is a good sign to help Hanoi Customs Department achieve satisfactory results in performing State revenue collection, reaching 96 percent of the current appropriation, reaching 91.5 percent of targets, equivalent to 108.9 percent over the same period in 2018. It is estimated that by the end of December 31, Hanoi Customs Department will collect VND 22,575 billion, 105 percent of the current appropriation, achieving 100 percent of the target.
