Over 1.9kg of Ketamine transported by air from the UK detected

On June 15, the law enforcement agencies, including the Anti-drug Enforcement Team (under Hanoi Customs Department), Investigation Police Division on Drug-related Crimes (Hai Duong Police), Investigation Police Division on Drug-related Crimes (Hanoi Police) and local Police arrested Nguyen Van T. (residing in Tan Dan ward, Chi Linh city) who was suspected of transporting banned substances in a rectangular carton.
Inspecting the parcel, the law enforcement forces discovered 11 paper boxes and 10 red plastic bags. There was one white plastic bag weighing over 956 grams inside each paper box, and a white plastic bag containing a white substance weighing over 980 grams inside each red plastic bag.
Nguyen Van T. said that these synthetic drugs were sent from the UK via air and postal service and then sent to another person. However, he had received the parcel containing more than 1.9 kg of synthetic drugs, he was arrested by the law enforcement forces.
Verification results of the Institute of Criminal Science (Ministry of Public Security) showed that the white substance samples in 10 plastic bags and 11 paper boxes were ketamine.
Currently, the case is under investigation.
