Agreeing with the report contents made by the Standing Office of theNational Steering Committee 389 and the opinions of ministries, sectors and localities, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Head of the National Steering Committees 389,highly appreciated the achievements of ministries, sectors and localities in the first quarter of 2023.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang said that large profits motivate those who commit violations. Consumers inadvertently abet the violator when they buy low-cost products and use low-quality goods, even fake ones.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that the current drug-related crimes voice concern. Drugs are items that users have urgent and indispensable needs, leading to anincrease in the trafficking, possession and transportation of drugs. Although the combat saw positive results, it didnot meet the requirement ofcontrol while the smuggling, trade fraud and fake goods in some places still increased.

Concluding at the conference, the Deputy Prime Minister requested ministries, sectors and localities to perform the following tasks:

Firstly, the heads of forces and units must not protect and abet violators and the heads of all levels must take responsibility for this work;they must train and study to match the current development trend and improve their qualifications.

The second, strengthen coordination between forces in information exchange and performance in each specific case.

The third, approach new methods and tricks (e-commerce).

Fourth, media agencies must publiciseinvestigation articles to raise awareness of citizens to become smart consumers by self-controlling the origin of foods and goods.
