Nearly 240 enterprises have not submitted specialized inspection results

VCN – According to a statistic of the HCM City Customs Department, as of 25/7/2018, there are 237 enterprises that have violated the customs management policy on allowing delivery of goods for preservation in order to wait for specialized inspection result.

Those enterprises have not submitted specialized inspection results yet, and are overdue as specified by regulation.

For those cases, besides denying implementation procedures for delivery of goods for preservation, HCM City Customs Department will also publish a list of violating enterprises and send it to local customs authorities in the country for collaboration in disallowing the delivery of goods for preservation.

According to the findings of the Customs News reporter, among those enterprises as mentioned above, there were 5 enterprises taking advantage of the regulation about delivery of goods for preservation for waiting specialized inspection result, to intentionally bring goods to the market for consumption and ran away from their business registration address. For those enterprises, Customs Branches has already sent customs officials to meet local authorities for verification and discovered the enterprises had run away and did not operate at the business registration address. Also, goods were missing and no longer at the address of delivery of goods for preservation.

After verification, investigation and collecting enough sufficient grounds to identify "Enterprises do not preserve the original status of goods at the place of the proposed delivery of goods for preservation" in accordance with regulations and have run away, missing from the business registration address, the customs branches have collected evidences and made an official document for information exchange with the police offices in order to coordinate for handling in accordance with the provisions of law.
