Particularly, in the first ten days of official deployment, the online public service system has received 1,771 administrative records.

Among 35 local Customs departments, the Hai Phong Customs Department was the unit which received the highest number of records with 604 records, accounting for 34% of records received.

Some other local Customs departments also received many records submitted through the online public service system such as Binh Duong, Long An and Hanoi.

Of the 41 procedures deployed, the two administrative procedures submitted through the online public service system were additional declaration for tax records and cancellation of Customs declarations with more than 1,500 records, accounting for about 84% of the total number of records submitted through the online public service system

According to representatives of the Portal Management Division of Customs, there were 41 procedures officially implemented on the online public service system from March 1, 2017. These are the procedures that were explored thoroughly at Customs units and were implemented with a large volume.

In which, many procedures implemented were: procedures for cancellation of Customs declarations; procedures for an addition of information on Customs declarations; procedures for certification of origin of imported automobiles and two-wheeled vehicles; procedures for classification of complex machines or combination of machines; procedures for certified true copy of Customs declarations; tax refund according to Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC; procedures for consideration of tax reduction on goods damaged or lost in the monitoring process; and consideration for tax exemption for gifts and donations and samples.

“The official deployment of the online public service system meets the targets of implementation of e-Government and is an important step to reform and facilitate the business community when carrying out administrative procedures in the field of Customs. For example, in the case where the records need to be amended or supplemented, it will take a lot of time for enterprises in traveling to amend and supplement them directly at the Customs agencies instead of using the online public service to amend and supplement them through the internet”. It is acknowledged that the online public service system of the Customs will operate 24/7 (24 hours per day and 7 days per week) to receive records of enterprises.
